The Directorate General of Nursing and Midwifery (DGNM) is a department under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The Directorate of Services, formed in 1977, was upgraded to the Directorate General of Nursing and Midwifery in 2016. All the activities related to public sector nursing and obstetrics are conducted by this department.

A total of 288 qualified people will be appointed in 23 posts in the DGNM. in this regard has been published recently.
